An exhibition of some of the exceptional work that is at the heart of Mexico’s traditional textile revival. The title of this exhibition is a translation of “Sna Jolobil” from Tzotzil. Sna Jolobil is also the name of one of the largest artisans’ co-operatives, representing over 800 weavers from 20 Tzotzil- and Tzeltal-speaking Mayan communities in the Chiapas highlands.
Join us for an exhibit of contemporary work from Chiapas, Oaxaca, and other areas. There will be a short presentation, light food, and refreshments.
