Summer Colour with Natural Dyes — Backyard Summer Projects

by - Tuesday, July 21, 2026

We love taking our dye projects outside in the summer months!

There is something so magical about working with colour under the open sky — whether it’s bundle dyeing with freshly gathered botanicals, tending an indigo vat, or experimenting with the endless possibilities of natural colour. There is no better time to slow down, play with colour, and let the season guide our creativity.

Explore our natural dyes, earth pigments, mordants & dyeable collection for your next project.

Silk loves to hold colour, making each piece an invitation to play, to gather flowers from your garden, and to create something deeply personal.

We’ve made a simple tutorial so you can capture the abundance and hues of the season.
