Introducing the Maiwa Men’s Collection — Designed for Men and Loved by All
A collection of everyday pieces, designed for men and loved by all. Sewn in the artisan handwoven cloth we know and love.
Each garment begins with thread-dyed natural indigo and plant-dyed fibres, woven by hand. The cloth is full of texture and subtle variation, with the character only a skilled weaver and handloom can give.
We’ve chosen these textiles for the way they feel, wear, and age. The finished pieces are relaxed and familiar, made to become part of your everyday—layered and styled just how you like.
TANGALIYA
In Tangaliya weaving, each dot begins with a supplementary thread wrapped by hand around the warp. As the weft passes across, it locks the wrap into place. Row by row, the weaver builds an intricate pattern of tiny raised knots—deliberate marks that give Tangaliya its unmistakable character. The technique creates a reversible cloth, with the dots raised on both sides.
