NEW SHAWLS!

We are excited to bring two new collections to our online shop.

KASHMIR LOOM

These shawls are handwoven by master weavers of Kashmir Loom using the softest pashmina, combed from the Changra goats that live in the high altitudes of Northern India.

The purest form of cashmere, pashmina is justly famous for its warmth, softness, and luxurious comfort.

Kashmir Loom was founded by Jenny Housego, Asaf Ali, and his brothers in Srinagar. With a belief in preserving the rich heritage of the region while fostering progress, their work exemplifies exquisite beauty, quality, and artistic innovation. Each piece bears the embroidered signature of Kashmir Loom.

We find pleasure in cloth, held next to our skin, wrapped around us. Under a coat or over your shoulders, a shawl is so simple—a rectangle of cloth—yet it is the very idea of comfort.

A shawl is like a woven embrace — the perfect gift.

SHAPED RESIST - TEXTURED CLOTH

These Bandhani masterworks have an incredible texture. The result of thousands of knots tied on the cloth before it is dyed. After dyeing, the cloth retains a memory of the resist thread - it takes on a sculptural form unlike anything else.

Each dot is the result of creating a tiny peak in the cloth and then tightly wrapping thread around the peak to resist the dye. Artisans work with precision as they slowly pattern the entire cloth — a lengthy process with an exquisite outcome.

Maiwa works directly with bandhani artisans working in the Kachchh Desert of Gujarat, Western India.

To our U.S. customers – don't forget that the exchange rate works in your favour, it's like an extra discount.
