HANDWOVEN CARPETS

The deshi wools of the desert regions of Rajasthan make for durable and long-lasting carpets. The wool is naturally black, cream or white, creating a harmonious palette that works anywhere.  The weavers of Jawaja work on extra-wide handlooms to create these stunning flatweaves. They feature simple, bold designs and are fine examples of the weaver's art.
The Artisan's Alliance of Jawaja (AAJ) is a rural cooperative located in Rajasthan, India. AAJ members are leatherworkers and carpet weavers.

KNIT — CROCHET — WEAVE
THE THREADS THAT CONNECT US

The most simple of things, a twisted fibre, makes everything possible.
Knitting is the genius of  bending a line, a timeless skill worked by hand.
 Cording. Knotting. Weaving.
At the start of each thread an adventure begins.

STITCH — EMBROIDER — MEND
THE THREADS THAT CONNECT US

The most simple of things — a thread — makes everything possible.
Mend what has been torn and in the process you make it a bit better,
you have added a little of yourself into the cloth.
Embellish with a stitch that tells who you are, how you care, and what you can do.
